Sheryl-Underwood
Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, host of a TV show and performer most well-known for her role as host of the popular daytime talk show The Talk. Born in Arkansas she was raised in Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl comes out of the midst of a difficult background. She spent the majority of her childhood taking care of her older sister Frankie suffering from polio. Growing up, she had an uneasy relationship with her mother. Sheryl claims that her mom had a time when she stabbed her father for getting too close. Sheryl, after graduating college, joined the army. But her passion was comedy. She was the only female to make it through the 1989 contest Miller Lite Comedy Search. She started her TV career as frequently performing on the HBO Comedy Show Def Comedy Jam in 1992. In 2000, she was host of the show Oh Drama! In 2011, she's a cohost of the talk show. Also, she appears in fictional roles on series such Bulworth, Nikki or Beauty Shop.
