Sheryl Underwood is an American television host, comedian and performer best known for hosting the popular daytime talk show The Talk. She was born and brought up in Little Rock. Sheryl has an extremely troubled family. She was a child who spent a lot of time looking after her sibling Frankie. Frankie was a victim of polio. When she was growing up, Sheryl experienced many issues with her mom. Sheryl states that one time her mother cut her dad for being too close to him. When she graduated from college Sheryl was a soldier in the military. However, her love for comedy was always there. In 1989 she was the first woman to make the finals of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. Her TV career when she was frequently performing on the HBO Comedy Show Def Comedy Jam in 1992. In 2000 she appeared as host of the television show Oh Drama! Seit 2011, she is a cohost of the Talk Show. She has also been in fictional roles on shows such as Bulworth Nikki and Beauty Shop.
